I wanted to write an honest tribute and even now, two months later, it still seems like a shock that they’re gone. Particularly MJ. I think my memories of the memorial service will stay with me forever.

Max was playing a Jackson special the other day. He looked so young and vibrant. I hope that’s how people will remember him as the years pass, how he was in his prime, and not everything else. His music means so much to so many people and I think the music will be the main memory for most of us.

Well you can get away with a lot when you are young and beautiful and they were both that.

It was both unsettling and apt to see the shoppers ….families and workers and young couples stopping to watch Michael’s video. I guess that will now be part of my collective memories of this event…that and the wall of flatscreens all playing his music video.
