You Should Be A Poet |
You craft words well, in creative and unexpected ways. |
What Type of Writer Should You Be?
Another fun quiz over at Blogthings. I must admit, I was expecting more of an SF or slipstream response… but ah well, who am I to argue? I’m a poet as well. 😉
i took the test before, and i should be a film writer apparently.
i have not written anything fictional on my own since my teenage years, unless required to for a class. so much for my creative dramatic tendencies!
CJ: You know, I could see that, sulz. You’ve got quite a visual way of writing and you tell a good story in your blogs. Maybe you could be the next Nora Ephron! 🙂
I think the strangest result I’ve had for one of these quizes was one for if you’re a PC or a Mac. I got Linux. How does that work? 😉
i don’t know what’s the “visual way of writing” you’re talking about, lol. stories that are all true, so no drop of creativity there! (okay, embellishments are a form of creativity, but still.) never read ephron’s book before, but i’ll check it out.
beats me; i actually thought linux was a porn site when i first heard it years ago!! 😆
CJ: Well, with visual writing I mean that I can picture exactly what you mean when you say it; you’re very evocative as a blogger, so I can imagine your writing being like that too. Plus true stories are the hardest to write! But hey, you’d know better than me. 😀
And Nora Ephron is a screenwriter/director, btw; she did Sleepless in Seattle and When Harry Met Sally. 🙂
oh goat, i need to look up what ‘evocative’ means in the dictionary, heh. oh, true stories can be pretty hard to write; that’s why am not thinking of being a journalist after graduating!
ooh, when harry met sally is one of my all-time favourite movies. that orgasm scene in the cafe… !
CJ: Hey, when all else fails, go to the Wikitionary! “Evocative: brings to mind”… hm, that doesn’t help much either, does it? Let’s just say it means I know exactly what you mean when you write it! 😆
Yeah, all my friends love that scene too. I must be the only one who likes Sleepless in Seattle more. I guess I’m a romantic at heart. 😉
Hi there,
I also write poetry and erotica and I got the same test results that you did. 🙂
CJ: Hey TT, congrats! Great minds think alike, hey? 🙂
I think I’m becoming addicted to these quizzes. They’re fun, but it kind of feels like a validation… is there a quiz rehab at all? 😉
rehab quizz – LOL 🙂
CJ: You know, quiz rehab – where they play nothing but Amy Winehouse all day long. 😆
i would really appreciate it if you could visit this post i did. i am kind of on a comment hunt here cos i really want to know how creative people feel about the issue.

thanks in advance!
CJ: Creative people? I like the sound of that! 😀
I’ll pop over and check it out now. Questions about ethics and sociology always interest me. You know, some light reading.
