This is a series of macro photos of an affirmation plaque I own that I took in January 2016. It’s a simple, inexpensive plaque but it has a lot of sentimental value to me as it’s one of the first things I bought when I moved to Newcastle from Sydney and I thought it would make for some interesting macro shots.
What I particularly like about it is the plastery surface which has a lot of interesting lines and textures. That’s the kind of thing I love when I do macro and the photos came out well. I love the detail they were able to capture and how different the plaque looks close up and yet how parts of it still feel familiar as well.
I really enjoy macro. Will have to do more projects like this.
