Photo Challenge – Vintage Theme

My photo group’s home photo challenge for this week was a vintage theme. I decided I’d take the theme literally and took a few shots of some of the old film cameras in my collection, as well as editing a few photos from earlier in the week to look a bit like film.

It was a fun theme and I’m happy with how the shots turned out. It was fun going through my camera collection too. The Canon TLb was actually my grandfather’s film camera from the 1970s and it’s still in pretty good condition. The Olympus doesn’t work very well anymore unfortunately but I still use the Pentax quite regularly.

I have a few others I didn’t photograph as well, I might do those another time.

Another sunset
Another day nears its end:
Time goes so quickly

The sunset over the lake was lovely this evening. The light and colours were beautiful, that dreamlike quality you only get on a nice warm day.

I had my camera with me and took a couple of photos. I felt like being a bit creative with the photos so I took this one looking through the trees for a bit of a different perspective.

And I tried to give this one a bit of a vintage look to make it a little different too. They both came out pretty well in the end.
